Refinity does research on (textile) product design for a circular economy and shares this knowledge through inspiration projects and blog articles
A product is only of good quality when it adds value to human and environment.
That is why I like to work with the term eco-effectivity: What is the effect of a design choice on the environment?
During the researches I answer questions like: How can a design be made that is biodegradable or recyclable? Which materials and techniques are needed for that? I am specialized in flexible materials like textiles, (bio)plastics, (fake)leather, non-wovens, yarns and fibres.
Creating a valuable product does not only ask for a different material choice and production method, but also for an entirely new way of designing. Environmental friendliness should be self evident in this.
Currently I work as knowledge manager for CSR Netherlands
